ALLAN KEHLER

In this empowering keynote, participants will gain an increased understanding of topics including mental illness, self-harm, suicide, substance abuse and wellness.

Allan will share how to talk to learners about mental health and understand how to make them feel seen, heard and supported.

Learn how to:

· identify barriers that prevent learners from seeking help;

· shatter the stigma and stereotypes associated with mental illness;

· recognize and support learners who appear to be in distress;

· use the 6 commitments to creating wellness in the classroom; and

· leave a lasting impression on someone, and perhaps even change their life.

Drawing on his own experience overcoming mental health struggles — and as a college educator and author — Allan’s presentations are engaging, inspiring, emotional and empowering.
